I had a pretty small scrap of this lavander print (maybe a Jo Morton?)... I think it was 6x6" roughly.
I just barely eeked it out cause I cut a piece off accidentally on the second unit I sewed.
Love this fabric though - glad it worked out.

T11.BR4, Candy Dish

Candy Dish - this is one I set aside after bumping against a crazy paper piecing layout up top. Val helped me figure out a solution. It ain't pretty but hopefully it'll all get lost in the seam allowance. "glitsa!"

Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum - Part Deux...

This was probably my favorite quilt. Just loved the brights on black background and the subject matter also.

This one was a tribute quilt - the story was about a terrible tragedy that took place in 1911.

The details are hard to see here because of the darker fabrics and no flash - it was very cool though.

Beautiful work of art. Fantastic composition and awesome quilting.

Found this one very interesting. It's not really my design aesthetic but it was beautifully designed and made.

Another beautiful quilt. I'm sure every piece was hand-dyed.

031.Amy Gardner's Maze - aka B-6, Wild Goose Chase

I had to rip about 8 seams. One in particular just didn't want to go straight. Very happy with the end result though. Those skinny white strips are not easy to handle but I think this is the best job I could have done.

OK, this had 43 pieces. No wonder it took so long! I really do love this one though. I wasn't exactly fussy cutting but I was trying to keep the bright yellow/orange out of it. Almost accomplished that. But I don't think it draws your eye as much as I thought it would, so I'm happy.

It looks so innocent here!

This fabric is really shredding. Not sure if it's the weave or if I didn't cut it square enough to the grain (or if that even has an effect on it)... But I think I'll keep away from it on other blocks.

While I was out in Colorado a few weeks ago, thought I'd check out the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden.

There were two shows - one was a challenge where all quilts used the same  . Fabric line. The other show was a NYC quilt guild's offering of modern quilts. Two great shows. No "museum" in sight, however, which was a little confusing. Still, it was a very enjoyable visit.
