  1. Wow....that would take me at least two weeks. I'm very slow on my blocks. Wonderful fabric. What is it called? Your block is perfect.

    1. the light print fabric is a judie rothermel - i think "merrimack" but not sure. The darker fabric is a scrap i picked up so I have no idea. I am a fabric person so it kind of bothers me not knowing what they are but I actually don't know. Are you making a Jane Stickle too?

  2. Love the colors and the blocks you are using. I'll have to try paper piecing. What size blocks are they??

    1. Thanks very much! These are all civil war reproductions and I try to find ones that aren't too bright to help make the finished thing look antique... Yeah, I really like paper piecing. I think it is kind of time consuming, especially the method i'm using... but it helps make things more accurate. Still, it's a challenge when there are a lot of seams butting up just like in regular piecing.

All the Jane Stickle (aka Dear Jane) blocks are 4.5" - they're bordered by pieced and plain triangle shaped blocks which are roughly 8x5"... are you making a "dear jane" too?
